It is located in the eastern Black Sea region, within the boundaries of Maçka district of Trabzon province. Access to the National Park area; Trabzon province center, the connection to the town of Maçka 48 km is provided by the road. The main feature of the National Park is the plant richness and geomorphological structure of the Sumela Monastery and the Altındere valley.
