1 – Uzungöl

2 – Sumela Monastery

Located in Maçka, Trabzon, the monastery is situated 1,150 meters above sea level. After visiting the monastery, you can crown your trip with a wonderful nature walk. It is not difficult to reach the monastery after arriving in Trabzon by plane or bus.

3 – Vazelon Monastery

Located in the Maçka district, this monastery is about 40 kilometers away from the city center. Estimated to have been built between 270-317 years, this monastery is considered the oldest monastery in history. Vazelon Monastery, the richest and most important monastery in the region, was abandoned in 1923, but it is a historical monument that must be seen with its unique architecture.

4 – Santa Ruins

The Santa Ruins are important in terms of religious, commercial, and cultural aspects. It is estimated that the region, which is currently declared as an ‘Archaeological and Natural Site Area’, had 9 separate neighborhoods in the past. Today, there are 7 neighborhoods and over 300 houses in the region.

5- Kadırga Plateau and Mosque

During the conquest of Trabzon in 1461, Fatih Sultan Mehmet asked about his friend Oymak Bey Kadir Ağa. Learning that his friend had become a martyr, Fatih Sultan Mehmet set out with his soldiers to visit the grave of Kadir Ağa. After this event, Fatih Sultan Mehmet named the plateau after Kadir Ağa, who contributed to his visit to the plateau.
